Timacuan, Lake Mary, FL [2012]
A client asked us to remodel her 1980s home built alongeside the Timacuan golf course. The redesign transformed the compartmentalized existing floor plan into an open floor plan that would post plenty of transparency and natural light. Being an avid golfer, the client requested that the primary living spaces and master suite focus on views of the golfcourse greens. The entire rear facade of the house was re-imagined as an operable system that would allow the living quarters to extend out onto the pool deck, thereby creating an extension of the common living space. For the interiors, sumptuous natural materials such as marble and black marble were paired with brass tones to impart a feeling of luxury to the modern minimalist interior. The material selection is utilized throughout the home adding continuity to the experience of space.
