Inspired by Parisian shops of the early 20th century and seen through a Floridian lens, Golden Hour wine shop captures the elegant charm of these detailed, experience-driven boutiques. Unlike traditional wine shops, this store was to focus on a select offering of sustainable and small-batch wines from winemakers the globe over. Thee owners wanted a space that was stylish, exciting, and moreover personable.
It was important to give the sense of lightness and spaciousness. We focused on the use of a single color to maintain focus and to establish a mood. Steeped in a soft pale green, the space is imbued with a gentle liveliness that is enhanced by the warmth of natural wood. Inspired by old-world sensibilities, we employed a material palette rooted tradition: polished brass, white oak, polished marble, parquet, and cotton twill. The materials are used in a fresh and modern way that speaks to the current times. To make the most of the petite space, retail fixtures and furniture were designed by our studio and crafted locally in Orlando. Shelving along the perimeter walls displaying a carefully curated collection of unique wines. A table with stool serves as a tasting area that invites patrons to explore selections that may become future favorites.
